The sleeping sound machine by ReMEDies is a lovely little compact machine with 6 soothing nature sounds. It works on both batteries and mains power, has a timer and a volume control and is ideal for travelers, holidaymakers or anyone who needs a sound machine that operates on batteries.
You can use the ReMEDies sound machine for adults or children, at home, in the office or in a hotel to block out noise.

How do you use the ReMEDies Sleeping Sound Machine?
The ReMEDies Sleeping Sound Machine is very easy to use. All you need to do is to set it up on a bedside table or shelf in your bedroom or nursery.
Then you simply turn it on and select which one of the 6 soothing sounds you want to play – heartbeat, ocean wave, rainforest, summer night, bird song or brooks.
Unfortunately, this sound machine doesn’t come with a white noise track, so if this is important to you then check out the HoMedics Sound Spa, which is also dual powered.
You select the nature sounds by pressing the large button marked ‘SOUND’ repeatedly as it highlights the name of each track in turn. Then simply stop on the track you want to play. Next, you press the large button marked ‘TIMER’ and keep pressing this button until the 15, 30 or 60 minute button is selected.
You don’t need to use the timer button, so if you want to leave the sound machine to play all night, then simply don’t press this button. Lastly, you can increase or decrease the volume to suit your needs and then you are good to go.
Don’t forget that this sleeping sound machine operates on mains power and batteries, so you can take it with you in the car when you are traveling, in the caravan, RV or hotel.
Having a battery operated sound machine is great if there is no power available where you are staying or if the power goes down. Remember however, that the batteries don’t take over if the power goes off, you would need to switch over to the battery power.
What do customers think of this Sleeping Sound Machine?
Online customer reviews are quite mixed with some customers absolutely loving this machine and others definitely not loving it.
The main issues seem to be that the tracks do not sound natural at all and you can hear the looping of the tracks, which is quite annoying to some customers.
Other problems are that the volume is too loud, even when it is on its lowest level. Add this to the fact that there is a blue light which shows you which sound you have selected – that won’t turn off and can be annoying at night.
Then again, other customers say that they love this sleeping sound machine and have no problems at all with it. At less than $25, this machine is very affordable, but it will pay you to read some of my other reviews, before you make your final decision.
Summing up the ReMEDies Sleeping Sound Machine
This is a great looking, compact sound machine that is very affordable and has all of the functions you need in a sound machine.
The problem is that there are too many negative online comments from customers, concerning the quality of the sounds, that the blue light highlighting the selected sounds won’t turn off and there is no white noise.
Nevertheless, many customers love this machine so go figure! I feel that it will certainly benefit you to read some of my other reviews, before you decide which sound machine to purchase. After all, knowledge is power!
